Features
Section titled “Features”Do you support PTE install?
Yes. Orbit (our portal) lets you upload .app.
The actual installation is performed by Business Central via the Orbit Connector (an AppSource extension). The Business Central Admin Center API still has no native PTE install endpoints — our integration handles it end-to-end.
Can I schedule bulk app (extension) updates in advance so I can notify my customers?
Yes, this is supported in a scenario where the App (Extension) is installed from AppSource. Once an update becomes available, you can then either bulk update for all selected environments or schedule for a time later. This is controlled from the “Manage Apps” page.
If an update of the app is not available on AppSource — we will not allow scheduling it.
We do not yet have an auto-update feature — when Microsoft adds a setting for minor auto-updates, we will build on top of it.
Do actions in Orbit appear in the standard BC Admin Center’s Operations Log (and vice versa)?
Yes. Actions like app updates or version changes made through the portal will also appear in the Business Central Admin Center’s Operations Log.
The portal has a separate Logs section that records user and job-triggered actions specific to its platform.
Setup & Sync
Section titled “Setup & Sync”When adding customers, nothing happens when I press “Sync” on the customer line, even though I have granted the app inside the BC Admin Center.
When adding new customers, use the global Sync button at the top of the page. Once the sync finishes, a notification appears — refresh your browser after it and the customer data will show. Otherwise, it can take up to 2 hours to refresh.
The Sync button on the customer line does not sync authorization — it only retrieves the latest data.
Permissions & Security
Section titled “Permissions & Security”What permissions are customers assigning when authorizing the app in the setup process? Can BC data be altered?
The app is set up to require permissions only for Admin Center API and BC automation APIs. There is no known way to access Business Central data via your MS Entra App.
What permissions are required to grant Entra App access in a customer tenant?
To grant consent for an Entra App in a customer’s tenant, you need either:
- A Delegated Admin Privileges (DAP) relationship with the customer, or
- The Global Administrator or Cloud Application Administrator role in the customer’s tenant.
Can Qezaro Orbit users access my dashboard page?
No, Qezaro Orbit users or admins do not have access to your dashboard screen. You can only give us access by adding our users to your Microsoft tenant.
How are user logins to the portal/dashboard managed?
Users can log in to the portal using one of two methods:
-
Microsoft Account (Entra ID) Login Users can authenticate using their Microsoft work account via Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
-
Email + OTP Login Users without a Microsoft account can sign in using their email address. A one-time passcode (OTP) is sent to their inbox for verification.
Additionally, users can optionally configure an authenticator app (e.g., Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator) to generate time-based access tokens for secure logins.
This approach offers both flexibility and enhanced security across user types.
Pricing
Section titled “Pricing”Is Orbit free? What does it cost?
Orbit is free for partners managing up to 10 production environments. Above that, a paid plan applies — see qezaro.com/orbit for current pricing.
